Before you install
- Make sure this is the right build. This file is for Android TV Box & Google TV. Other devices need a different build:
- Fire TV & Firestick — version 1.8.3, 16 MB
- Android phone & tablet — version 5.0.1, 32 MB
- Allow the install. Your device will ask you to allow apps from this source the first time. The step-by-step install guide shows exactly where the setting is.
- Updating? Install straight over your current version. Your settings and favourites are kept, and there is no need to uninstall first.
Verify the file (optional)
The SHA-256 checksum above is a fingerprint of the exact file on our server. If the checksum of the file you downloaded matches it, the file is genuine and complete, with nothing added or missing. Any modified or damaged copy gives a completely different value.
- Windows: open Command Prompt in your Downloads folder and run
certutil -hashfile LiveNetTV_ATV_5.0.5_Release.apk SHA256 - macOS or Linux: run
shasum -a 256 LiveNetTV_ATV_5.0.5_Release.apkin Terminal. - Android: use a free checksum app from the Play Store, such as Hash Droid, and choose SHA-256.
You can also upload the file to VirusTotal for an independent scan. Our guide to spotting fake APKs explains how to read the result.
Download not starting?
- Some browsers warn that APK files “can harm your device”. They show this for every APK. Choose Download anyway.
- On a TV device without a browser, use the Downloader app. See our Downloader guide.
- If the install fails with “problem parsing the package”, the download was interrupted. Delete it and download again.
