Live Net TV “Fully Loaded” Firestick: Why to Avoid It

A “fully loaded” Firestick with Live Net TV, thousands of channels and every Premier League match sounds like a bargain. In 2026 it is a stick loaded with a dead app, and in the UK it can land you in trouble.

UPDATED 27 OCTOBER 2026  ·  4 MIN READ  ·  BY THE LIVE NETTV TEAM

Search for Live Net TV on a Firestick and you will still find listings for “fully loaded” or “jailbroken” sticks: a normal Amazon Fire TV Stick sold with unofficial apps such as Live Net TV pre-installed, promising thousands of channels, Premier League football including the Saturday 3pm kick-offs, and no monthly bill. Here is why that is a bad deal now.

1. Live Net TV no longer works on any Firestick

Live Net TV's streams stopped in February 2026 after a police raid on its operators, and in June 2026 they settled with the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment and handed over their domains. The app still installs and opens, but no channel plays, on a Firestick or anything else. Any listing that sells a stick “loaded with Live Net TV” is selling an app that does nothing. The full story is on our LiveNetTV status page.

2. Newer Firesticks cannot be “loaded” at all

Amazon's newest sticks, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K (3rd generation) launched in September 2026, run Vega OS, which cannot install APK files. Only apps from the Amazon Appstore will run on them. Amazon has also started blocking known piracy apps from installing on Fire OS devices in some countries during 2026. See which Fire TV devices can still sideload.

3. In the UK, buyers have been warned of prosecution

  • Sellers are going to prison. In a case brought by FACT and Merseyside Police, a Liverpool supplier of loaded Firesticks and illegal IPTV was sentenced to three years and four months after pleading guilty to Fraud Act offences. The Premier League has brought its own prosecutions against suppliers too.
  • Buyers are being contacted. Using customer databases seized from a supplier, FACT emailed and texted more than 1,000 UK buyers of loaded Firesticks and IPTV, warning them to stop or face possible prosecution.
  • Viewers can be liable. Watching paid-for TV and sport through an unauthorised service can amount to obtaining services dishonestly under the Fraud Act 2006, which carries a sentence of up to five years. Selling or using these devices also puts your payment details in the hands of unknown sellers.

The Firestick itself is completely legal. It is the unofficial apps and paid IPTV subscriptions loaded onto it that cause the problem.

4. No UK service shows Saturday 3pm matches

Premier League matches that kick off at 3pm on Saturday cannot be broadcast live in the UK under the long-standing “closed period” rule. Any UK service advertising them is unlicensed by definition. Every other match is shown live legally.

What to put on your Firestick instead

A plain Firestick with official apps does most of what a loaded stick promises, legally and for free or a modest subscription:

Already bought a loaded stick?

  1. Stop using any paid IPTV subscription that came with it, and cancel any recurring payment to the seller.
  2. Reset the stick to factory settings to remove every unofficial app. See how to factory reset a Firestick.
  3. Sign in with your own Amazon account and install apps only from the Amazon Appstore.

Frequently asked questions

Is a fully loaded Firestick illegal in the UK?

The Firestick is legal. Selling it loaded with apps or subscriptions that stream paid TV and sport without permission is illegal, and sellers have been jailed. Buyers who use it to watch paid content can be liable under the Fraud Act, and FACT has warned more than 1,000 of them.

Does a loaded Firestick still get Live Net TV?

No. Live Net TV shut down in 2026 and no version plays channels on any device.

Can I watch Premier League 3pm kick-offs legally in the UK?

No. Saturday 3pm matches are not broadcast live in the UK. You can watch the goals on Match of the Day and BBC iPlayer the same evening.

Can I still sideload apps on a new Firestick?

Not on Vega OS models such as the 2026 Fire TV Stick 4K, which only run Appstore apps. Older Fire OS models can, but Amazon has started blocking known piracy apps in some countries.

Will a VPN make a loaded Firestick safe?

No. A VPN hides your connection, not what you are watching, and it does not make an unlicensed service legal. It also does nothing for Live Net TV, which has no working servers.
