Live Net TV stopped playing channels in 2026 and has shut down for good. If you used it on an Android phone, tablet or TV box for live channels, the apps below are the best free replacements. Every one is published by a known company and available on Google Play, so it installs in seconds and updates itself.

How we chose these apps
- Free live channels, not just on-demand films, because that is what Live Net TV was used for.
- On Google Play, from a known publisher, so there is nothing to sideload and the app updates itself.
- Legal, with licensed channels. We leave out unofficial streaming APKs: they tend to disappear the way Live Net TV did and are often bundled with adware.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best free app like Live Net TV?
Pluto TV is the closest match: a channel guide with hundreds of free live channels and no account. Plex is the best choice outside the countries Pluto TV covers.
Are these apps really free?
Yes. They are paid for by adverts, like broadcast TV. Some offer optional paid extras, but the live channels listed here are free. BBC iPlayer needs a UK TV Licence.
Is there an app with every channel from every country, like Live Net TV?
Not a legal one. Licensed apps carry the channels they have rights to in each country. Pairing Pluto TV or Plex with your local broadcaster apps covers most of what people watched on Live Net TV.
Do these apps work on Android TV boxes?
Most have Android TV versions on Google Play. A few, such as BBC iPlayer, only run on devices their makers have certified; see BBC iPlayer on Android TV boxes.
Does Live Net TV still work?
No. No version plays channels any more. See what happened to LiveNetTV.
