How to install ITVX on a Firestick
- Select Find › Search on the Fire TV home screen and type ITVX.
- Select the official ITVX app and choose Get.
- Open it and sign in with your ITVX account, or create one free.
ITVX black screen or crashing
If ITVX shows a black screen but other apps work, clear its cache and data and reinstall it, as in the steps below. If every app goes black, the problem is the stick or HDMI connection; see Firestick black screen. ITV's own advice for any device is to turn it off and, if possible, unplug it for at least one minute before trying again.
ITVX not working on Firestick? Fix it in this order
- Restart properly. Unplug the Firestick from power for at least a minute, then plug it back in. A quick restart from the menu does not clear everything.
- Clear the app's cache. Go to Settings › Applications › Manage Installed Applications › ITVX, choose Force Stop, then Clear Cache.
- Clear data if it still fails. In the same menu choose Clear Data. You will need to sign in again.
- Update the app and the Firestick. Check the app in the Appstore for an update, then Settings › My Fire TV › About › Check for Updates.
- Reinstall. Uninstall ITVX, restart the stick, and install it again from the Amazon Appstore.

- Check for an outage. If ITVX fails on every device in your home, the problem is on ITV's side; wait and try again later.
