Live Net TV on iPhone, PC & Smart TV

Live Net TV was only ever an Android app, so iPhones, Windows PCs, Macs and most smart TVs never had a real version. Now that it has shut down, here is what works on each device instead.

People still search for Live Net TV for iOS, for Windows and for Samsung TVs. The short answer for every one of them is the same: there was never an official version, and since the service shut down in 2026 no version works on any device. Any download that claims to be “Live Net TV for iPhone” or “for PC” is fake.

Live Net TV on iPhone and iPad

Live Net TV was distributed only as an Android APK file, and iPhones and iPads cannot install APKs. It was never in Apple's App Store. Sites offering an “iOS version” typically ask you to install a configuration profile or a third-party app store, which puts your device at risk and still gives you nothing that works.

What to use instead: free, legal apps from the App Store: Pluto TV, Tubi, Plex and The Roku Channel in the US; BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Channel 4 in the UK. See our free live TV apps for the US, UK and Europe.

Live Net TV on Windows PC and Mac

There was no desktop version. The only way people ran it on a computer was inside an Android emulator such as BlueStacks, which now opens an app with no channels.

What to use instead: no app needed. Pluto TV, Tubi, Plex and The Roku Channel all stream free live channels in a web browser. UK viewers can watch BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Channel 4 in the browser too, and many news broadcasters stream live on their official websites and YouTube channels. If streams buffer on your computer, run our speed test.

Live Net TV on Samsung and LG smart TVs

Samsung TVs run Tizen and LG TVs run webOS. Neither can install Android apps, so Live Net TV never ran on them directly. People used it through a Firestick or Android TV box plugged into the TV instead.

What to use instead: both have a free live TV service built in. Samsung TV Plus comes pre-installed on Samsung smart TVs, with hundreds of free channels and no sign-up. LG Channels is LG's equivalent, with free channels in 37 countries. Both TVs also have Pluto TV, Tubi and Plex in their app stores.

Live Net TV on Android TV and Google TV smart TVs

Smart TVs from Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and others that run Android TV or Google TV could sideload the Android TV build of Live Net TV. It installs but plays nothing now. Use Google TV Freeplay in the Live tab, plus Pluto TV, Plex and your broadcaster apps from Google Play. Our Android TV and Google TV guide walks through the setup.
